FRACTIONAL OWNERSHIP
In brief, fractional ownership is a relatively new concept to the UK property market and essentially  gives a buyer ownership and use of a property for an agreed number of weeks per year.

RESTRICTED OCCUPANCY/HOLIDAY OCCUPANCY
Holiday accommodation units sometimes have conditions placed upon their planning approval limiting them to seasonal occupancy, stating months of occupation.

FREEHOLD
Freehold means that the owner has complete and absolute ownership of the land and all of the buildings that stand on that land.

LEASEHOLD
Leasehold is the right to own, occupy and use a property for a long period known as the term of the lease.  This can be for between 99-999 years and the property can be bought and sold within that period.

HOME INFORMATION PACK
The Home Information Pack (also Known as the HIP) is compulsory for all homes on the market in England and Wales.  It is a set of documents that provides the buyer with key information on the property and must be provided by the seller or the seller’s agent.
